Yay Banners Well, now that my first and worst final exam is done I finally got a chance to look for real at why our forum banners weren't showing up. And now they do. Thank Dean-O for the sexy; it's all his doing. All I did was figure out how to randomize them. If you think he should add more varieties post your suggestions here. And we're back. Well, that took a little longer than thought. But aren't last-minute projects always like that? Anyway, we're now running a shiny new version of phpBB, specifically the newest one. Should solve our little Russian hacker problem, at least to some extent. I was able to 'convert' from the old board to the new, so your old logins should still work (mine does). Your posts, profiles, postcounts, etc. should also still be here. A few things are undoubtedly broken, though, so please reply to this thread if/when you find them and I'll get right on it. I had to do the actual mySQL conversion on my local PC, and if you want to hear a technology horror story ask me about it. Suffice it to say there were substantial roadblocks. I also redid the news feed script that outputs from News/Announcements to the home page to be compatible with phpBB3. It now understands newline characters! (Note the paragraphing in this post.) Oh, and someone needs to make us a new forum banner. Dean, AJ, I'm looking at y'all. Get on it. Width is 920px, height of between 120-180px. Oh snap. Zach wins again! For those who didn't notice The forums are down, but they're down at MY initiative. There's been what I suspect is a SQL injection attack so it's probably time to upgrade our software.
